Betnovate cream is used to treat a variety of inflammatory, allergic or itchy skin disorders such as Eczema of various types, skin inflammation or irritation, psoriasis, skin rash, itching, swelling, redness, a thickened skin rash caused by excessive scratching to relieve itching, an eruption of hard nodules in the skin accompanied by intense itching, skin disorder causing a flat, itchy, violet rash, usually on the wrists, shins, lower back and genitals (lichen planus), inflammatory skin disease is known as discoid lupus erythematosus, intense and widespread reddening of the skin, Reactions to insect bites and stings, or other discomfort caused by skin conditions. Betamethasone Valerate is the main active pharmaceutical ingredient present in Betnovate Cream. Betamethasone is a potent topical corticosteroid. Topical corticosteroids are also referred to as topical steroids. Topical steroids are used in addition to moisturizers (emollients) for treating inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. Betamethasone valerate cream is a topical corticosteroid. Side Effects

Betnovate may rarely cause serious side effects such as stretch marks, skin thinning or discolouration, acne, extreme and unwanted hair growth, allergic reaction, including rash, itching, or swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
How to Use
Apply a small amount of this medicine to the affected area. Gently rub the medicine until it is evenly distributed. Wash your hands after applying betamethasone valerate cream. Do not cover the areas being treated with bandages or other dressings unless advised to do so by your doctor. Do not mix betamethasone valerate cream with other medications. It would be best if you take the dose until you finish the prescription. Do not change the dose or stop it even if you feel better. You should complete the prescribed dose.
