Side Effects
Brilinta 90 mg can cause side effects, including the risk of bleeding and shortness of breath. While you take medicine, you may experience bruising or bleeding and be more likely to have nosebleeds. Bleeding will take more time than usual to stop and maybe life-threatening as it may cause serious complications that lead to death. Call your doctor straight away if you develop signs and symptoms of bleeding, including uncontrollable bleeding, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, red or brown urine, black stools, or if you cough up blood.
How to Use
Take Brilinta 90 mg exactly as your doctor tells you. Your doctor will prescribe aspirin, another antiplatelet medicine in combination with Brilinta. You should not take higher doses of aspirin, follow your doctor’s instructions when it comes to taking medicine. You may take it before or after consuming food. Make sure you take it daily to get the most benefit out of the medication. It is important to keep taking it, even you feel well and have no symptoms. Sudden discontinuation of the drug may increase your risk of having another heart attack.
