Before taking Hepcinat 400 mg, tell your doctor if any of the following applies to you:

— Liver issues other than hepatitis C infection

— Liver transplant

— Severe kidney problems or you are on dialysis

— HIV

— Are you pregnant or plan to conceive

— Are breastfeeding

Let your doctor know about all the medicines you take, including prescription, and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Other medicines may affect the mode of action of Sofosbuvir.

Amiodarone may interact with Sofosbuvir. Other medications may also affect how hepcinat works. Such medications include rifampin, rifabutin, tipranavir, St. John’s wort, ritonavir, and medications used for treating seizures, such as phenytoin and carbamazepine. Avoid taking these medications along with Sofosbuvir.

Check with your healthcare specialist if any of the following signs develop while using Sofosbuvir:

— Infections such as chills, shortness of breath, fever, prolonged dizziness, headache, weight loss, stiff neck

— Depression, including changes in sleep, thoughts of suicide, poor concentration, weight changes, decreased interest in activities

— Anaemia, such as pale skin, shortness of breath, low red blood cells, dizziness, weakness, or tiredness

It would help if you discontinue using the drug in case any of the following occur:

— Bloody, black, or tarry stools, vomiting blood, spitting up blood that looks like coffee grounds.

The prescribed dosing for Hepcinat is one tablet daily. Do not consume the tablets in larger quantities or for longer than recommended. The recommended treatment course is around 6 to 12 months. It is best to take the Hepcinat tablet with the advice of a healthcare specialist, as the medicine can sometimes cause side effects, which can probably be fatal. Take the tablet on an empty stomach or before or after having food. Take it daily at the same time. Periodically consult your healthcare specialist, seek medical advice, and follow the instructions given by your healthcare professional while getting treated with Hepcinat 400 mg. Contact your doctor if an overdose is taken. Take the missed dose of Sofosbuvir as soon as you remember. However, if it is too late, leave the dose and take the next scheduled dose at the correct time. Never double up the dose for the missed one.
