Description
Lanoxin 0.25 mg is used to treat heart rhythm problems and heart failure. It increases the strength of your heart muscle, normalizes the heart’s rhythm, and helps remove excess water from your body. The main active pharmaceutical ingredient in the Lanoxin tablet is Digoxin, which helps make the heart beat stronger and have a more regular rhythm. Digoxin is categorized as antiarrhythmic. It works by affecting the sodium pump in your body. Digoxin blocks the sodium pump, which causes the sodium to move out of the cells and potassium to move into the cells. This affects your heart rhythm, increases the strength of your heart, and removes excess water from your body.
