    Levolin inhaler is used to treat severe asthma that is characterized by symptoms such as wheezing, chest tightness and cough, and frequent exacerbations. It is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm, allergen and used to relieve symptoms of an acute asthma attack. Levolin Inhaler 50 mcg is mainly used to prevent and treat bronchospasm in adolescents, adults, and children who are above the age of four with reversible obstructive airway disease like chronic bronchitis, asthma, and emphysema. The main ingredient of the drug is Levosalbutamol, a bronchodilator, which improves the airflow in the lungs by relaxing the muscles in airways. It is used to relieve symptoms associated with asthma, which includes tightness of the chest, cough, wheezing, and shortness of breath. The active ingredient Levosalbutamol is a beta 2-agonist and bronchodilator that works directly on the small airways of the lungs. It causes the smooth muscle lining of the airways to relax and the airways to widen. Thus, the airways open making it easier to breathe and symptoms of asthma such as the chest, wheezing, of breath, cough is relieved.

    Several medicines may interact with your Levolin Inhaler. It is best to consult your doctor and tell him about all the medicines that you are taking currently so that he can check if there is any possible case of interaction.

    Side Effects

    Some of the common side effects of Levolin inhaler include tremor, headache, tachycardia, dizziness, and headache. Some of the less common side effects include palpitations, muscle cramp, mouth, and throat irritation. This is not a complete list of side effects that may happen. There may be other side effects as well.

    How to Use

    The Levolin Inhaler can be used to take 1-2 puffs up to four times daily. However, no more than 8 puffs should be taken in 24 hours. In case you are using the inhaler for more than 3-4 times a week then it is best to consult your doctor and review your medication. To prevent exercise-induced asthma, you can take 2 puffs 15 minutes before exercising. Levolin inhaler should be used with or without food as needed for an asthma attack at any time of the day. First, you need to remove the mouthpiece cover and then shake the inhaler. Before placing the mouthpiece in your mouth, you need to breathe out as far as is comfortable and then inhale and press down the top of the inhaler to release a dose of the medicine. Breathe in through your mouth till the time your lungs are full and then hold the breath for a few seconds. The medicine needs to be taken as and when the problem arises. If it is to be taken regularly, then it should be taken for the period as prescribed by your doctor.
