Do not take Lotensyl 10 mg; tell your doctor if you are hypersensitive to Lercanidipine or any of the medicine’s ingredients. Avoid taking medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to drugs closely related to Lercanidipine (such as nicardipine, felodipine, nifedipine, isradipine, lacidipine, amlodipine, nicardipine). Avoid driving or using machines that require you to alert until you know how the antihypertensive agent affects you.

If you develop serious side effects such as angina pectoris (chest pain due to lack of blood in the heart), fall in blood pressure (that can cause fainting or light-headedness), and allergic reactions (symptoms including rash, itching, and hives); you may suffer with increased frequency and duration of the severity of these attacks if you suffer from pre-existing angina pectoris with the group of drugs that belongs to the Lercanidipine class of medications.

Other possible side effects of the medicine include faster heartbeats, palpitations, dizziness, neck, upper chest, ankle swelling, and headaches. Rarely, a patient taking Lotensyl 10 mg includes heartburn, diarrhoea, skin rash, muscle pain, tiredness, the passage of large amounts of urine, and changes in liver function.
