How to Use
Mycobutol 1000 mg will be prescribed with other anti-tuberculosis drugs. The tablet should be taken once every 24 hours before or after consuming food. The dose usually depends on whether you have previously received treatment for tuberculosis.
The dosage depends on your body weight. It can take up to two years with mycobutol to cure you of tuberculosis. You must keep taking the medicine for the full-time treatment. Avoid stop taking it if you start feeling better. Take the tablet with a glass of water. Finish the complete course of treatment, and do not skip doses even if you start feeling good. Continue to take the medicine until your doctor tells you to stop. Discontinuing antibiotics use on your own can cause treatment failure and the development of drug-resistant tuberculosis, which can contribute to serious complications.
