You should not take Naprosyn 250 mg if you have a history of an allergic reaction to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). The medicine may increase your risk of heart attack, or stroke, that may be life-threatening. The risk is even higher if you use it for a longer duration or take higher doses, or if you have heart disease. Do not use Naproxen when you have just undergone heart bypass surgery. Get immediate medical help if you have a weakness, shortness of breath, chest pain, vision problems, slurred speech or problems with vision. The anti-inflammatory drug may also cause stomach bleeding, which can be life-threatening. The condition is common in older adults and occurs without warning while using Naprosyn tablets. Taking medicine during pregnancy may harm your unborn baby. It may also interfere with the process of ovulation, causing fertility issues in women. The medication can also pass into breast milk and cause unwanted effects in the nursing baby. Women receiving this anti-inflammatory drug should not breastfeed without consulting their doctors. Do not give this medicine to children without speaking to the pediatrician.

Prescription Naproxen may interact with other medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. An interaction can prevent your medications from working well. Examples of drugs that can cause interactions with Naprosyn 250 mg tablets to include fluoxetine, paroxetine, citalopram, and fluvoxamine.

Oral Naprosyn may cause drowsiness. It would be best if you do not indulge in activities like driving, handle machinery or other activities that require alertness until you believe you usually function. This medicine may cause side effects, and the common ones include gas, nausea, vomiting, constipation, stomach pain, diarrhea, dizziness, etc.

Use Naprosyn 250 mg tablets exactly as directed on the prescription by your doctor. Please do not take it more often or for a longer duration than recommended. Your doctor may prescribe the lowest dose that is effective in treating your condition. Avoid crushing or breaking the tablet.
