Nebicard 10mg Tablet

Do not take Nebicard 10 mg in the following conditions:

• Heart failure
• Slow heartbeats
• Severe liver damage
• Hypersensitivity to Nebicard 10 mg

Use Nebivolol tablets only for the medical condition it is prescribed for. Please do not share the drug with other people, even if they have the same symptoms.  Inform your doctor if you develop abnormally slow heartbeat, untreated chronic heart failure, prolonged breathing problems, poor circulation, overactive thyroid gland, allergies, diabetes, and first-degree heart block etc. If you are going to have surgery, please inform your anaesthetist that you are already receiving a hypertensive agent. Your doctor will monitor you regularly at the beginning of the treatment for chronic heart failure. Sudden discontinuation of the drug may cause serious side effects; hence the treatment should not be stopped abruptly unless instructed by your doctor.

The possible side effects of Nebicard 10 mg include low blood pressure, headache, slow heartbeat, tiredness, leg swelling due to fluid retention, and feeling dizzy. If you feel dizzy, avoid indulging in any kind of machine work, sit down and tell your doctor. Be sure to inform your doctor if any of these side effects bother you.

Patients receiving Nebicard 10 mg should not suddenly stop taking the drug, sudden discontinuation may cause severe complications. Always use medications exactly as your doctor has told you. The medicine may be taken before or after the meal. Take Nebicard tablet with water. Elderly patients or patients suffering from any kind of renal impairment will receive the lowest possible dose of Nebivolol to avoid side effects. It may take up to four weeks to gain control over your blood pressure levels. The effect on blood pressure levels will become evident in as little as two weeks of treatment. Your doctor may ask you to take the drug once daily at many times of the day.
