Description
Nintena 100 mg is used to treat certain types of lung disease. It contains the active ingredient Nintedanib which is effective in treating the following condition:
- Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis or IPF is when the lung tissue becomes thick and stiff and eventually form a scar. These changes are irreversible, and the affected individual has trouble breathing.
- An interstitial lung disease is a group of lung disorders characterized by inflammation and scarring, making it difficult for the lungs to receive enough oxygen.
Product Description
Before taking Nintena 100 mg, tell your doctor if you have kidney, liver, or bleeding problems or are taking any other medicine to treat infections. Many other medications can affect or be affected by Nintedanib, so it is important to let your doctor know of all the medications. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Effective contraception is suggested to both males and females during treatment to avoid pregnancy.
Side Effects
Nintedanib can also cause side effects like any pharmaceutical agent, although not everyone who takes this medicine gets them. You need to pay special attention if you get diarrhea, leading to dehydration. At first signs of diarrhea, drink plenty of fluids as dehydration may lead to fluid loss and important salts. Other side effects of the medicine include nausea, pain in the lower body, loss of appetite, bleeding, rash, headache, weight loss, and vomiting.
How to Use
Always take Nintena 100 mg the same way your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor if you have any doubts related to Nintedanib usage. The recommended dose is one capsule of 100 mg twice daily. Take the capsule twice daily, approximately twelve hours apart, one capsule in the morning and one in the evening. Swallow the capsule with water and do not chew them. It is recommended that you take the capsule with food, i.e. before or after a meal. Do not crush the capsule. You should not consume more than the recommended dose of two Nintena capsules per day. If you do not tolerate the recommended dose of this medicine, talk to your doctor. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue treatment. Do not reduce the dose or stop treatment without consulting your doctor first.
