Description
Nucoxia 120 mg is an anti-inflammatory pain killer medicine used to ease pain and swelling associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and ankylosing spondylitis. It contains Etoricoxib, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) known for its anti-inflammatory properties. It works by blocking cyclo-oxygenase-2 (Cox-2), a naturally occurring in the body. It also works by increasing the pain threshold and preventing the release of prostaglandins. Etoricoxib blocks the effect of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause pain and inflammation. It is safe and well-tolerated by the users during long term administration.

The anti-inflammatory drug is potentially unsafe to use during pregnancy. Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, kidney, or liver disease.

Nucoxia Tablet may interact with certain medicines. These include aspirin, clopidogrel, dipyridamole, dexamethasone, methotrexate, furosemide, heparin, lithium, warfarin, prednisolone, and rifampicin. It is best to tell your doctor about the current medicines you are taking to avoid any drug interaction. It is also best to tell him about the medicines you are allergic to. This is not a complete list of medicines that may happen. There may be other medicines as well. You must avoid drinking alcohol while taking medicine. Avoid using the medicine if you are allergic to paracetamol.
Side Effects
The most common side effects of the medicine are gastrointestinal discomfort. You may experience side effects like flatulence, constipation, oral ulcer, palpitations, headache, bronchospasm, vomiting, esophagitis, diarrhoea, arrhythmia, high blood pressure, dizziness, fatigue, and flu-like symptoms.
How to Use
Etoricoxib is to be taken in the prescribed quantity mentioned by your doctor. Your doctor usually fixes the prescribed quantity after examining you thoroughly. The medicine is to be taken for the entire prescribed period and should not be stopped in between as it may lead to an adverse effect on the body. Do not take more than the recommended dose of Nucoxia 120 mg for your condition. The recommended dose for gout treatment is 120 mg once daily, which should only be used to treat painful episodes of gout l, limited to a maximum of eight days of treatment. Overdose of the medicine should be avoided at any cost as it may lead to several side effects. In case of an overdose of the medicine, get in touch with your doctor immediately. In the case of the missed dose, you must take medicine as soon as you remember provided; there is a sufficient gap between the two doses. Never double dose to compensate for the missed dose. Do not share this anti-inflammatory drug with anyone, even if they are suffering from the same symptoms. Use it only for the purpose specified and not for any other purpose. Make sure you follow all the directions given by your doctor.
