Description
Oxra 5 mg reduces blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 diabetes. It may be prescribed alone or together with other anti-diabetic medications. It contains the active ingredient Dapagliflozin, which is a novel class of glucose-lowering agents and is used in the treatment of patients with Type 2 diabetes. It reduces blood glucose levels by helping the kidneys to remove glucose from the bloodstream and excrete it within the urine. The medicine is taken along with diet and exercise to control blood sugar in adults with Type 2 diabetes. Oxra is also prescribed to adults with other medicines to treat heart failure. In these patients, Dapagliflozin reduces the risk of death due to cardiovascular events or urgent hospital visits due to heart failure. Dapagliflozin treats adults with chronic kidney disorders to reduce the risk of further decline in kidney function. For more information, please consult your doctor. Product Description
An increased risk of developing diabetic ketoacidosis, including if you:
1. are on a very low carbohydrate diet
2. have been fasting for a while
3. drink too much alcohol
4. are you eating less, or is there a change in your diet
5. are dehydrated
6. have had issues with your pancreas
7. are hospitalized for major surgery, serious infection, or serious medical illness
Tell your doctor about all current medicines that you started or stopped using, especially the following ones:
- A diuretic or water pill
- Insulin or oral diabetes medicine
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Diclofenac, meloxicam, celecoxib, indomethacin, ibuprofen, aspirin, and others
- Heart or blood pressure medications.

- Hypoglycemia
- Urinary tract infections
- Pain when urinating
- Lowering blood pressure
- Thrush
- Changes in levels of blood fats
- Increased need to visit the toilet

How to Use
Take Oxra tablets exactly as your doctor has told you to take. Usually, it is taken in 10 mg doses, but many people are prescribed to start the treatment with a dose of 5 mg. The medicine can be taken before or after consuming food. Consider taking this medicine at the same time each day. And do not attempt to take more than one dose within 12 hours. If you miss a dose, take it as early as possible, or if it’s too late, leave the missed one and take the next dose to resume the treatment.
