Product Description
Do not take Potrate 1080 mg if you are allergic to any of the ingredients present in the medicine. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or trying for a baby or are a breastfeeding mother. Certain drugs can interact with potassium citrate. Let your doctor know if you use digoxin, micardis, eplerenone, quinidine, glycopyrrolate, candesartan, or mepenzolate.
Side Effects
Common side effects include confusion, anxiety, increased urination, extreme thirst, leg discomfort, diarrhea, vomiting, muscle weakness, uneven heartbeat, and numbness or tingling in your hands or feet. Most of these resolve within a few days. If any side effects become troublesome, please talk to your doctor.
How to Use
Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Do not crush, chew, break, or suck on an extended-release tablet. Swallow the pill whole. Breaking or crushing the pill may cause too much of the drug to be released at one time. Sucking on a potassium tablet can irritate your mouth or throat. Avoid lying down for at least 30 minutes after you take this medication. Take this medication with a meal or bedtime snack or within 30 minutes after a meal.
