Description
Regestrone Tablet-5mg is prescribed for the treatment of contraceptives, irregular, painful or heavy periods along with several other problems. Regestrone tablet contains Norethisterone as the active ingredient.
It is an artificial form of progesterone, a naturally occurring female sex hormone. It has several uses:
— Low-strength Regestrone (progesterone) is used in oral contraceptive pills to avoid pregnancy.
— Medium-strength progesterone is used to treat irregular, painful or heavy periods also to delay periods, treat endometriosis (where tissue from the lining of the womb is present in places where it is not normally found), treat premenstrual syndrome (also known as premenstrual tension, PMS or PMT).
— High-strength tablets are sometimes used in some females to treat breast cancer.
Regestrone active constituent, Norethisterone, works by varying the uterus lining. The low-dose contraceptive changes the lining of the womb and so prevents events in the body) on womb lining, stabilizes this lining and decreases pain and bleeding during the (menstrual cycle) periods or delays the periods. Continuous consuming Regestrone 5mg tablets with your physician’s advice decreases the growth rate of breast cancer cells.
