Description
Rivaflo 10 mg is currently available anticoagulant utilized for venous thromboembolism (blood clots in the veins) treatment and prevention and stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation (irregular heart rhythm). It contains the active ingredient Rivaroxaban which is also effective in preventing deep vein thrombosis, leading to pulmonary embolism (blockage in one of the pulmonary arteries in your lungs) in patients undergoing knee or hip replacement surgery. Deep vein thrombosis occurs when a blood clot forms in a deep vein.
Product Description
Do not take Rivaflo 10 mg if you currently have certain types of abnormal bleeding. Speak to your doctor before taking Rivaflo tablets if you currently have unusual bleeding. Also, avoid using if you are allergic to Rivaroxaban or any other medicine ingredients. Before taking the anticoagulant medicine, tell your doctor about your medical conditions such as bleeding problems, kidney disease, antiphospholipid syndrome, or are pregnant or plan to become pregnant—however, less evidence to show whether the medicine will harm your unborn baby or not. Let your doctor know if you become pregnant during treatment. Taking Rivaflo during pregnancy may increase the risk of bleeding. Also, tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding. Rivaroxaban can pass into your breast milk. Discuss the best way to feed your baby during the treatment with your doctor.
Side Effects
The most common side effect of Rivaflo is bleeding. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects.
How to Use
Take Rivaflo 10mg exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change the dose or stop treatment unless your doctor tells you. Your doctor will decide how long you need to take medicine. Treatment with Rivaflo may need to be stopped for more or more days before any surgery or medical procedure. If you wish to discontinue treatment, please speak to your doctor first to determine when you should stop taking it. If you have difficulty swallowing the tablets, talk to your doctor about other ways to take medicine.
