Rivaflo 20 mg is a prescription medicine to reduce the risk of stroke and blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation. With atrial fibrillation, part of the heart does not function normally. This could form blood clots that can travel to the brain, causing a stroke or other parts of the body. It effectively reduces the risk of forming a blood clot in the legs and lungs of people who have just undergone knee or hip replacement surgery.
Product Description
Do not take Rivaflo 20 mg if you have certain abnormal bleeding types, kidney disorders or other medical conditions. Speak to your doctor if you have unusual bleeding before taking this medicine. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to Rivaroxaban or any other ingredients present in the medicine. Also, let your doctor know if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is not known if it will harm your unborn baby. Do not breastfeed without discussing it with your doctor. Whether Rivaflo tablet 20mg is safe and works in children is unknown.
Speak to your doctor about all your medications, including prescription, and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal solutions. Especially inform him about ketoconazole, ritonavir, itraconazole, lopinavir, indinavir, phenytoin, rifampin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine, and St. John’s wort.
Side Effects
The common side effect of Rivaflo is bleeding more easily than normal, for example, having nosebleeds or bruising. If you experience any symptoms, inform your doctor right away.
How to Use
Take the Rivaflo tablet exactly as prescribed. Do not change your dose or discontinue this medicine without first talking to the doctor. He will decide how long you should take Rivaroxaban.
