Description
Rofaday 500 mcg is a prescription medicine used in adults with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)to decrease the number of episodes or worsening symptoms. It is not a bronchodilator and should not be used for treating sudden breathing issues. It is not known if the medicine is safe and effective in children.
Product Description
Do not take Roflumilast if you have certain liver problems. Talk to your doctor about liver problems before taking this medicine.
Before you take Rofaday, let your doctor know if any of the following applies to you are/have:
— History of mental health problems, including suicidal behaviour and depression
— Liver problems
— Any other medical disorder
— Pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if this medicine will harm your unborn baby. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
—Breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. It is still not known if the medicine passes into breast milk. You and your doctor will decide if you need to take this medicine or breastfeed. You should not do both things together.
Roflumilast may affect how other medicines work, and other medicines may affect how Rofaday works. Tell your doctor about all your medicines, including prescription, nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
Side Effects
The most common side effects of Rofaday 500 mcg include headache, diarrhoea, problems sleeping, back pain, nausea, decreased appetite, and Flu-like symptoms. Rofaday may cause mental health problems, including suicidal thoughts and behaviour. Some people taking medicine may develop mood or behaviour problems, including:
— New or worse anxiety
— Thoughts of suicide or dying
— Trouble sleeping
— Attempt to commit suicide
— New or worse depression
— Other unusual changes in your behaviour or mood
— Acting or dangerous impulses
Roflumilast can cause weight loss. You must check your weight regularly. If you notice that you are losing weight, call your doctor. Your doctor may ask you to stop taking medicine if you lose too much weight.
How to Use
Take Rofaday 500 mcg exactly as your doctor tells you to take it. It can be taken before or after consuming food. Call your doctor immediately if you take more than your prescribed dose of Rofaday.
