    Description

Ropark 1 mg is prescribed for treating moderate to severe primary restless legs syndrome. It is sometimes given to treat Parkinson’s disease. Dealing with these conditions does not mean you have or will develop the other. Ropinirole, the medicine’s active ingredient, treats symptoms such as tremors, stiffness, difficulty walking, impaired coordination, and balance.

    Product Description

You should not take Ropark tablets if you are allergic to its active ingredient Ropinirole or any other inactive ingredients. Before starting Ropark, tell your doctor if you are taking other medications that make you drowsy. Before taking this anti-antiparkinson drug, the following conditions must be discussed with your doctor.

    —  Pregnancy or plan to become pregnant

    —  Breastfeeding

    —  You start or stop taking other drugs while taking Ropinirole. This may increase your risk of side effects.

    —  You start or stop smoking during the treatment. Smoking may reduce the treatment effect of Ropinirole.

    —  You consume alcohol. This may increase your risk of becoming drowsy or sleepy during the treatment.

    Side Effects

There are no known side effects of Ropark 1 mg. If you fall asleep or feel sleepy while doing normal activities such as driving, feel dizzy, nauseated, or sweaty when you stand up from sitting or lying down, you should speak to your doctor. You should be careful until you know if this medicine affects your ability to remain alert while performing normal daily activities. You should keep a close eye on sleepiness or episodes of falling asleep.

It is possible that you could fall asleep while driving or doing any physical tasks during the treatment. Your chances of falling asleep are even greater if you take other medicines that cause drowsiness. Hallucinations have been reported in patients taking Ropinirole. The risk is greater in patients with Parkinson’s disease who are elderly, taking Ropinirole tablets with L-dopa or using higher doses of the medicine than prescribed for restless legs syndrome. This is not the complete list of medicines; your doctor can give you a list of possible side effects. Discuss any side effects or problems you may have with your healthcare specialist.

    How to Use

Patients with restless legs syndrome should take Ropark differently than patients with Parkinson’s disease. A lower dose is generally required for patients with restless legs syndrome and is taken daily before bedtime. Be sure to take Ropirinole exactly as your doctor has told you. Generally, taking the tablet once in the evening, 1 to 3 hours before bedtime, is best. Your doctor may change your dose until you take the appropriate medications to control your symptoms. Contact your doctor if you wish to stop the treatment for any reason. Do not restart treatment without speaking to your doctor. You can take the tablet before or after consuming food. Taking this medicine with food may reduce the chances of feeling nauseated.
