Description
Atarax 25 mg is prescribed for the treatment of anxiety. It contains the active substance hydroxyzine hydrochloride, which acts as a central nervous system depressant. The medicine induces antihistaminic, anticholinergic, and antiemetic properties. It may combine with opioid analgesics to treat anxiety and associated complications. Being an antihistamine, Atarax blocks the activity of histamine (an enzyme produced in the body during an allergic reaction) which helps to relieve symptoms of chronic urticaria and atopic and contact dermatoses and histamine-meditated pruritus. Side Effects
