Description
DOXT-SL contains Doxycycline 100 mg along with 5 billion spores of lactobacillus sporogenes (a probiotic that restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine). Doxycycline HCl is a tetracycline antibiotic. It belongs to a broad group of antibiotics for treating infections caused by bacteria and protozoa.
DOXT-SL treats many other bacterial infections, such as Urinary tract Infections, Acne, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Periodontitis (Gum disease), brain, lungs, bones and others. It is also prescribed for treating blemishes, bumps, and acne-like lesions caused by Rosacea. This medicine, however, will not treat facial redness caused by Rosacea. It is also used to prevent malaria. Dox T SL is also recommended to prevent diarrhea due to gut infection.
Product Description
Certain other drugs can interact with Doxycycline HCl and increase the risk of serious problems. So, it is necessary to consult your doctor about it.
- One should not exceed the dose prescribed by a doctor
- Do not lie for 30 minutes after taking this medicine
- Do not use the medicine after the date of expiry
- Don’t use Dox T SL if allergic to this medicine or any of the other ingredients present in it.
- Don’t use this medicine if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mom.
Side Effects
Tell your doctor as soon as possible if you notice any of the following:
- Itching
- Redness
- Irritation
- Numbness
- Blister formation or crusting of the skin
- Peeling off
- Stinging of the skin
- Scaling of skin
- Rashes
- Burning sensation on the area applied
How to Use
Take this capsule strictly according to your doctor’s direction. Do not alter the dosage unless advised to do so. Also, do not take this medication after the prescribed period is over. All medications come with a patient leaflet. Refer to the instructions in them for detailed information. Use this medicine as long as prescribed.
Take Doxycycline HCl at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Always store this medicine in a cool and dry place.
