Description
Indocap SR 75 mg is effective in relieving pain, joint stiffness, and swelling caused by conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis, and bursitis. The active ingredient of the medicine is Indomethacin which causes a significant reduction in these symptoms and helps you do more of your normal activities. The sustained-release capsules are useful in treating sudden gout attacks as it does not relieve pain quickly. Avoid alcohol while receiving Indocap SR 75 mg. Excessive alcohol consumption may increase your risk of stomach bleeding. Avoid taking the aspirin unless your doctor advice you. Discuss with your first before using other medicine for flu-like symptoms, fever, pain, or leg swelling. Use of indomethacin may sometimes give rise to kidney problems
Side Effects
Get emergency medical help in case you develop signs of allergic reactions such as difficulty breathing, skin rash, skin pain, burning eyes, red or purple rash, skin peeling. Immediately visit your doctor’s place if you develop symptoms of a heart attack such as chest pain that spreads to jaw or shoulder, sudden numbness, weakness on one side of the body
Stop using standard release capsule and call your doctor if you have changes in your vision, a skin rash, heart problems, signs of liver problems, stomach bleeding, kidney diseases, anaemia. While receiving Indocap SR 75 mg, you may experience common side effects such as indigestion, dizziness, and headache.
Ask your doctor before using the standard release capsule if you take an anti-depressant medicine. Taking certain anti-depressants in combination with an NSAID can increase the risk of side effects. Problems are more likely to occur if the patient is dehydrated, have heart disease or kidney failure. Drink plenty of fluids during the treatment to prevent dehydration and inform your doctor if you notice any change in the amount of urine. How to Use
Follow all the directions given on your prescription. Usually an effective low dose is provided by the doctor to treat the condition. The medicine is available in the form of an extended-release capsule which one should not crush, break, or open it. Long term usage of the medicine may need frequent medical tests which include a blood test. Tell your surgeon if you currently use these Indomethacin capsules.
