Do not take Unicontin tablets if you are allergic to theophylline, or any other medicine ingredients, or have rare blood pigments. Take special care while taking theophylline drug if you have a stomach ulcer, a viral infection, stomach ulcer, an overactive thyroid gland, high blood pressure, seizures, or are unwell with a high fever. Tell your doctor if you are taking diuretics, oral contraceptives, carbimazole, St. John’s Wort, cimetidine, fluconazole, rifampicin, ritonavir, clarithromycin, etc. Also, let your doctor know about any operation you are going to have, or recently have a flu injection.
