Description
Zyrik 300 mg is used to treat gout (pain and swelling of the small joints due to high levels of uric acid in the blood and subsequent deposition in the joints), kidney stones, and to reduce levels of uric acid in patients who are getting cancer treatment. Zyrik 300 Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of arthritis problems, uric acid disorders and symptoms, renal calcium lithiasis along with several other problems. Zyrik Tablet contains the salts Allopurinol as active ingredients. Allopurinol belongs to a group of medicines called enzyme inhibitors (xanthine oxidase). It reduces the quantity of uric acid in the body by blocking one of the processes that make it.
Product Description
Zyrik 300 mg is known to interact with other drugs like azathioprine, aminophylline ampicillin, bendrofluazide, bamifylline, chlorothiazide, and captopril. Do not take it if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney impairment, hypertension, congestive heart failure, diabetes, or if you are receiving chemotherapy.
Side Effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction to zyrik 300 mg: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using zyrik 300 mg and call your health care specialist at once if you have a serious side effect such as sore throat, fever, nausea, joint pain, flu symptoms, headache, the first sign of any skin rash, no matter how mild, pain or bleeding when you urinate, upper stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite, weight loss, dark urine, or urinating less than usual or not at all.
How to Use
Take each dose of Zyrik 300 mg with a full glass of water. To reduce your risk of kidney stones forming, drink 7 to 9 full glasses of fluid every day, unless your health care specialist tells you otherwise. Your health care specialist may recommend other gout medication to take with Zyrik. Keep using your medication as directed and tell your health care specialist if your symptoms do not improve after a few months of treatment. Take Zyrik 300 mg exactly as prescribed by your prescriber. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than suggested. Follow the directions on your prescription label. Your health care specialist may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results. Do not stop taking Zyrik 300 mg or change the dose without consulting with your health care specialist. This drug is meant to be taken regularly, so keep on taking the drug as long as recommended by the health care specialist.
