Stop taking this medication and notify your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while taking it. Before taking Simvastatin, let your doctor know if you have a history of liver or kidney disease, diabetes, a thyroid disorder, or consume more than 2 drinks of alcohol daily. Avoid a high-fat diet and alcohol while taking this medicine. Also, avoid grapefruit and grapefruit-based products while taking Simvastatin. Side Effects
Few people taking Simvotin 10 mg may have mild memory problems or confusion. Another rare but serious side effect of this medicine is foamy urine. Contact your doctor if these rare side effects occur.
In rare cases, Simvastatin can lead to a condition that results in the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue, causing kidney failure. Seek medical attention immediately if you have unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially if you also have a fever, unusual fatigue, and dark-colored urine.
Simvastatin rarely causes liver problems. Notify your doctor immediately if you notice any of the following symptoms of liver damage: yellowing of the eye and skin, dark urine, severe stomach or abdominal pain, or persistent nausea or vomiting.
The side effects mentioned above are not the only ones you may experience or witness due to Simvotin 10 mg. If you get any serious side effects from this medication, contact your doctor immediately.
How to Use
Simvotin dosage may depend on a range of factors like age, sex, drug allergies, or seriousness of the condition, among several other factors. Your doctor will determine your dosage after examining you properly. Remember to follow your doctor’s advice properly for best results. Generally, Simvotin is usually taken before or after consuming food. However, taking it with food may reduce the risk of developing nausea. Most people with high cholesterol levels do not show symptoms. Still, stopping your medicine may increase your cholesterol levels, worsen your condition, and increase your risk of heart complications (heart disease and stroke).
