Description
Susten gel is a vaginal gel containing micronized progesterone. When the gel is inserted into your vagina, the progesterone is slowly released into your blood throughout the day. The gel formulation gives you extra progesterone for an assisted fertility procedure. This helps you get pregnant. You may also be asked to continue using Susten to support your pregnancy.
Product Description
Do not use Susten gel if you are:
— Allergic to progesterone or any of the ingredients
— have porphyria
— have unexplained vaginal bleeding
— have or are suspected of having cancer in your breasts or genital organs
— have ever had a blood clot due to swollen
— pregnant or have missed an abortion
Talk to your doctor before using progesterone gel if the following applies to you. Your doctor may need to monitor you closely if you have asthma, kidney or liver issues, diabetes, heart problem, depression, epilepsy or migraines.
Let your doctor know if you get any expected bleeding so that they can investigate the cause of the condition.
The medicine is not for use in children or adolescents. Also, do not use Susten gel like any other medicine inserted into your vagina. Let your doctor know if you are using any other medicine, including those you obtained over the counter.
Progesterone therapy is indicated for use during an assisted fertility procedure. You may be asked to use it continuously to support your pregnancy. Its use is not recommended during breastfeeding.
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Susten can cause side effects, although not every woman who uses it gets them. If you get an allergic reaction, stop using Susten s and see a doctor immediately.
If you get an allergic reaction, discontinue treatment, and see a doctor immediately. Other side effects include fatigue, stomach or gut cramps, headaches, and breast tenderness.
The gel formulation can stay in your vagina for several days.

How to Use
Always use Susten gel as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor if you have any doubt. From the day of embryo transfer, insert the contents of one applicator of Susten into your vagina each day, preferably in the morning.
The applicator delivers an exact amount of gel 1.35 gm progesterone. It is expected that a small amount of gel will be left in the applicator. You can throw it away as you will receive all the necessary medicine.
The gel formulation is only for use in your vagina using the pre-filled applicator supplied in the pack. Before using the applicator, please read the instructions carefully given on your prescription.
