Description
Treticon Forte cream .025% contains Tretinoin, a retinoid drug targeting acne vulgaris. It is an effective solution for clearing active acne breakouts. Retinoids are known to stimulate cell turnover on your skin. Dead skin cells shed off your skin more quickly as new skin cells develop on the skin’s surface. Quicker cell turnover helps unclogged pores, releasing trapped bacteria responsible for causing acne. With Treticon forte cream, improvement will be seen within 6 to 12 weeks of the treatment. Do not get upset if you are unable to notice an immediate improvement. Do not stop therapy when you see the first signs of improvement. Once you control your acne, you should continue with the regular application of tretinoin cream until your dermatologist instructs otherwise.
Product Description
Topical Tretinoin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the drug. Caution should be taken if you have hypersensitivity to fish products. Let your dermatologist know if you have eczema, sunburn, or photosensitivity.
Patients are advised to avoid using skin products that may cause skin irritation and dryness, such as harsh soaps, hair colouring chemicals, shampoos, and hair removers, or products that contain alcohol, spice, and lime. Sunscreen is a requirement for all tretinoin users as there is an increased risk of photosensitivity. Encourage avoiding sun exposure. Patients must wear protective clothing and apply sunscreen of SPF 30 when they are outdoors.
Side Effects
The side effects of Treticon forte cream are more common in sensitive skin people. The side effects include excessive redness and blistered and crusted skin. If these side effects occur, the topical medication should either be stopped until the previous skin is restored, or the medication should be adjusted to a patient’s tolerance level.
How to Use
Treticon Forte cream should be applied once daily, in the evening, or as directed by your dermatologist, to the skin where acne lesions appear, using enough product to cover the affected area. But before applying the formulation, gently dry your skin with a mild soap or cleanser. Wait for at least 20 to 30 minutes before applying the medicine; applying the topical medication to minimize possible irritation is important. Ensure you do not use more than the prescribed amount by your dermatologist or apply more frequently than instructed. Excessive usage may irritate the skin, will only waste medication, and won’t give you faster or better results. Avoid applying the medication in the corners of the eyes, nose, mouth, and open wounds. Spread the preparation away from these areas when applying. Squeeze a pea size amount of the medication onto the fingertips.
