Description
Valsartan has been widely used to treat diseases like hypertension, diabetic neuropathy, heart attack, and heart failure. It contains the active ingredient Valsartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB).
It is used to treat:
— High blood pressure in adults and children, 6 to 16 years of age – Blood pressure is the pressure in your blood vessels when your heart beats and rests. You develop high blood pressure when the force is too much. Valzaar can cause your blood vessels to relax so your blood pressure is lower. Medicines that cause a reduction in blood pressure reduce your chances of having a stroke or heart attack. When the blood pressure is high, it makes your heart work harder to pump blood throughout your body and ultimately damages the blood vessels. If the condition is left untreated, it can contribute to heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, vision problems, and heart attack.
— Treat heart failure – Heart failure occurs when the heart is weak and can’t pump blood to your lungs and the rest of your body. Walking and moving can make you feel breathless, so you may have to rest.
— Improve the chance of living longer after a heart attack in adults – A heart attack occurs when there is a blocked artery that causes damage to the heart muscles.
